The United States Achievement Academy was founded in 1978 with a mission to recognize outstanding students in grades 6-12, and to provide scholarship opportunities for all participants.

THE USAA DISTINGUISHED faculty members representing all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands are dedicated to the belief in recognizing excellence in America's outstanding students.
  • In 2008-2009, nominations were received from more than 30,000 middle, junior and senior high schools in America.
  • USAA has granted over $1,000,000 in educational cash grants.
  • More than 1.1 million educators from the United States and its territories have nominated students for the Academy's honor programs.
Each year, the Academy invites educators to nominate students for All-American Scholar recognition and scholarship opportunities.

These letters include an official Academy Selection Form and the very important standards for selection guidelines for faculty. Educators can also nominate their students on-line (Nominate Now).
