Scholarship Opportunities

  • Each year, the nonprofit USAA Scholarship Foundation awards 400 educational cash grants, plus the $10,000 Dr. George A. Stevens Founder's Award.
  • All students who return a completed scholarship application to USAA are carefully considered, regardless of grade level.
  • All winners are determined by an independent scholarship selection committee that is comprised of educators representing all levels of education.
  • Winners are chosen based on the following criteria:
    • Grade point average
    • School activities
    • Scores on scholastic aptitude tests (if applicable)
    • Honors and awards

Yearbook Publication

Each nominated student can have his/her biography in the All-American Scholar Yearbook free of charge. In addition, students can have their picture in this nationally acclaimed publication with the nation's other top students. This bound publisher's edition is a tribute to America's students selected by their educators.

Biographical listings include student's name, school, city and state, the nominating educator, achievements and school activities. Student addresses are not published in the Yearbook.

Each student's biography is published without obligation. Students also have the opportunity to commemorate this prestigious award by ordering a personalized copy of the All-American Scholar Yearbook. This personalized copy includes a full page devoted to the student's accomplishments and recognitions and is bound and featured in the front pages of the yearbook.

News Release

Upon receipt of the student's biography form, USAA will send a press release form to be completed by the student and submitted to the local media.
